Have you ever been out on a walk, or a drag, around the block, seen another dog walking calmly and sitting at every corner and thought, "I wish my dog could do that, but he's just impossible!" Have you ever watched an obedience, or agility competition and wanted to do the same things with your dog? Or have you been out on a walk, or a drag, and come across a lone dog and not known what to do?   I'm here to tell you, your dog isn't impossible, you can do those things, and you just have to stay calm and think.  All you have to do is learn how to communicate with your dog and all of these situations are not only possible, but quite easy to handle.

    Hi, I'm Justine Oakwood of Cincinnati, Ohio, and this is Copper, a Whippet mix, from Indiana.  Copper came to me as a foster dog, whom I swore I was going to adopt out.  After one week I knew he was special and had to have the best home, and after two weeks I knew mine was the only home for him.  Together we have devoted ourselves to helping every dog have a happy home, by teaching basic obedience as well as more advanced courses.  I may do the talking, but Copper is the real teacher.  From showing other dogs what to do, to helping owners clarify commands, he communicates with everyone around him in ways that I never could.
